2020 Spring Conference

The NMNPC 2020 spring conference will be held at Hotel Albuquerque in historic Old Town April 22 - April 26. NMNPC will submit this program to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for approval of up to 31.5 contact hours of accredited education.

2020 Spring Conference
April 22 - April 26 • Hotel Albuquerque


General Information

The 2020 NMNPC Spring Conference will include stimulating continuing education presentations, hands-on workshops, an opportunity to network with your peers, and time to enjoy historic Old Town in Albuquerque. Our keynote presentation will be Difficult Conversations: What NPs Need to Know by Anne Katz, PhD, RN, FAAN. Dr. Anne Katz is the certified sexuality counselor and Clinical Nurse Specialist at CancerCare Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. Dr. Katz is the immediate past editor of the Oncology Nursing Forum, the premier research journal of the Oncology Nursing Society. She was inducted into the American Academy of Nursing in 2014. She is also the Vice President for CANO, the Canadian Association for Oncology Nursing. Dr. Katz is the author of 13 books for health care providers and health care consumers on the topics of illness and sexuality, as well as cancer survivorship.

Conference Information

Registration will open December 20th. Register by March 26th to avoid a late registration fee (use the register link upper left). Student members are eligible for a significantly reduced registration fee, but must submit a letter from their program director confirming student status in an NP program to finalize registration. NPs pursuing additional education are not eligible for the student rate. If you're not already a member of NMNPC, you may join now and be eligible for the member registration fee.


New this year, are six workshops that have been added to the conference schedule. Thank you to the NMNPC Board of Directors who wished to include these advanced-level workshops on a number of popular topics including suturing, EKG interpretation, and more. Designed to support in-depth discussion and hands-on learning opportunities, workshops are subject to an additional fee of $125 for members, and $175 fee for non-members. Hotel Reservations

NMNPC reserved a block of rooms at Hotel Albuquerque for conference attendees. The hotel will offer these special rates April 22 through April 25, subject to availability of rooms at the time of reservation. Attendees who book a room at Hotel Albuquerque will receive the following resort services:

Conference Financial Assistance

NMNPC offers 2 subsidies covering the conference registration fee. The subsidies are available to members who need financial assistance to attend. For more information click here.


Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests require email notification to NMNPC will consider conference registration refunds at our discretion for emergency situations only. If approved, refunds are subject to a $25 administrative fee. Please note: NMNPC will not consider any cancellation requests after March 31st.
