Legislative Lobbyist

NMNPC employs a lobbyist to monitor legislative issues that affect nurse practitioners and our patients. NPs in New Mexico enjoy a very favorable practice environment and our lobbyist is important in maintaining this situation. For more information, see our Legislation & Policy page.

Continuing Education

NMNPC has a three-day conference each spring providing valuable continuing education to help meet re-licensure and re-certification requirements. One day of the conference each year is devoted exclusively to pharmacology topics. NMNPC also offers a one-day conference each fall, celebrating Nurse Practitioner Week. Members enjoy a significant price reduction for both conferences. We submit the conference programs to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for CE approval each year and also offer an approved independent learning activity that meets the re-licensure requirement for 5 hours of non-cancer pain management CE.

Conference Subsidies

NMNPC provides conference subsidies to members that cover the registration fees for the spring and fall conferences and another special Lacy Houdek Memorial subsidy for the spring conference. For more information about the conference subsidies, click here.

Student Scholarships

NMNPC offers our student members scholarships each year. For more information about the student scholarships available, click here.

The NMNPC formulary is a generic document that NPs may customize to their specific practice. The formulary is a free download for members; non-members may purchase the formulary in our online store – just click on the other products shopping bag.
