Voting is a Civic Responsibility

Whatever your politics, nearly everyone agrees we should vote and encourage others to vote. Vote.org is a one-stop website devoted to encouraging everyone to vote and to making voting easy to do. We're lucky In New Mexico because our voting laws and regulations make it easy.

Did you know the following about voting in New Mexico?

  • Election day is Tuesday, November 6.
  • New voter registration deadline is 28 days before the election (postmarked by October 9 & received by October 12).
  • You can register to vote using the tool below. Sign & date your form then hand-deliver or mail the form to your local election office.
  • You can find your local election office by clicking here.
  • Any registered voter may apply for an absentee ballot and vote by mail.
  • The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is 5:00 pm Friday, November 2 & the deadline for receipt of the ballot is 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 6.
  • Early voting is Tuesday, October 9 through Saturday, November 3.
